I am in the process of finishing up a 4runner that I bought with a dissasembled engine. I rebuilt the engine but now I need to put all the hoses together. We have a carbed 87 PU so that wont work and the 89 from a friend is also different. I have the Chilton manual but the diagrams are so lame that are very much worthless. I also took a peek at the Alldata diagram and it's the same thing. Anybody have a good picture or diagram of the hose routing? There is also a check valve in the VSV but no idea of which way it should go.

 

Locate a factory service manual, there should be a link to one on here somewere, and down load it. The factory service usually goes into a bit more detail for vacuum hoses and other things.
