new to the site, looks awsome, im super amped on all the legitimate toyota guys here looking forward to hearing some opinions.

ive got a recently discovered issue with my '92 22re 5spd
i changed oil 1 month ago, i am now down to about 1/2 full. running fine, ive seen no blue smoke, no obvious leaks under the engine bay, is this normal? its got 322km on it...
also looking into leveling the saggy rear end...looking like a new set of hd coils will be the best option, but will i need to replace the shocks as well?

specify half down on the dip stick?? How many miles since change, any heavy foot on the accelerator? How fast do you drive??

 

i would say closer to low on the dipstick, ive put about 1200 miles on since i last changed it. couple of decent road trips and some city/highway driving. im pretty easy on it, the less fuel i use the better. definitely no unecessary leadfooting. on the highway it cruises at about 25-2700rpm, i genernally try and keep rpms on the lower side. does this help? ive since heard its not uncommon for higher mileage 22re's to use oil, i just have to deal with it and keep it topped up...

 

have you checked underneath the truck for oil leaking from the two crankshaft main seals?

 

also look around the valve cover and see if the gasket needs tightened or replaced...when I say how fast I mean actual speed I am not sure what your RPM's will be at what speed!! I have a '99 3.4l v6 and I know where mine are but not yours.
look for the obvious leaks and such front main rear main camshaft and valve covers, are all tendency to leak places that are cheap to reapair next place to look is the valve guide seals old and worn top end job would take care of that if you wanna go that far...
