I was talking to a co-worker that clames that the toyota E locker is NOT A TRUE LOCKER! my co-worker said that there is a cluch pack in the locker that will allow slipage under intense load. basicly saying that it would leave possi markings on asphalt, but once off road when up aginast a rock it would slip. I have been searching to see if this it true. I can not find an clear answer.I have been planning on doing this mod on my second gen runner and would like to know what the facts are. IF ANYBODY KNOWS FACTS ON HOW THE E-LOCKER WORKS PLEASE HELP thanks in advance

as far as I know, the e-locker has about as much "clutch slippage" when locked as an ARB does when it's locked

 

that looks like an older locker don't the newer e lockers have spline engageing and disengaging

my uncle has an e locker and ive seen it work under a serious amount of load and it has never slipped so i would have to agree with big bluepile and go with he is an idiot ha
