Hello All! New to YotaTech. Here is my babe... my '82.
Oi, just thought I'd introduce myself as I have been using these forums for technical advice and opinions for some time now. I just purchased my dream truck and will be posting the body & paint work as well as any upgrades I put on her (though this time I think I want to lean towards stock). You guys have some amazing trucks on here so it seems the bar has been set.
I already have one question; I live in BC and I was wondering if you can still order the outer panels of the box from anywhere. I have a fair bit of rust on the drivers side of the box, and its right in the contour line.
All Right see you all in the mud.

Nice truck!
If the rust is already well on it's way, there's really not much that's worth doing. There is a guy (slacker) in BC who makes GOOD fiberglass replacement beds. They aren't cheap, but they're worth it if you've got the money and want a rust free truck. Toyotafiberglass.com or something. Post some more pics! I like the truck.

Truck looks good. Not sure what you mean by stock but something good to do that would not change the appearance would be some gears and lockers and if you decide to venture away from the stock look you could always flat bed it haha. Oh and if its a 5 spd one of the best cheap mods I did was replace the shifter seat and socket bushings makes it shift alot firmer and only costs about $20.

Thanks, apparently an older gentleman owned it and had passed away. The guy who sold it to me told me the 22r was recently rebuild and was the original 'double roller'. I drove it home 3 hours through the mountains and she didn't overheat, the oil pressure stayed happy, and i could light a smoke with my hands off the wheel, haha. I'll go grab some pics, its uncanny how rust free the cab is. It's sealed great; the Engine, Tranny, Transfer, and diffs all keep their fluids where they should be. Again, thanks and I look forward to the years to come in this truck.
