2000 4unner - Brittle Trans Solenoid Connectors

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to replace the trans solenoid wire harness? I see that it plugs into the valve body but don't know if the valve body needs to be dropped or the harness just yanks out.

I am rplacing the "E" solenoid and the locking tab snapped off the connector, extremely brittle.

Pic's attached of the solenoid wire harness as it plugs into the valve body.

Thanks in advance

Bummer, I don't know how deep you'd have to go to replace the whole harness. Maybe you could cut the harness and solder on a new connector or maybe you could somehow secure the connector together without the locking tab.

Hi - Thanks for your reply. I was able to order the harness for $20 from Toyota, I'll see what the main connector looks like, maybe that'll give me a clue on how to disconnect/connect. Worst case I'll cut and solder on the new solenoid connector end as you suggest. Also heard someone crimped the female end to get a tight fit without the locking tab being in place.
