Question 82 cooling system diagram / hose part numbers or descriptions?

Im getting ready to finally flush the cooling system on the Trekker, I was looking at the hoses on Autozone.com today to see what I could find without going to the stealership and there are a few different types out there. Does anyone know exactly what I would need to replace all of the hoses? My truck has a Prestone flush kit installed, which is a good sign that the cooling system used to be serviced but they cut out a chunk of the top rear hose to install it. Im guessing that Ill need the lower and upper radiator hoses, then Im not sure if there are multiple heater hoses or just one in and one out... Does anyone have a link to, or have a diagram of the cooling system hoses? Thanks again!

Im thinking about one of these kits, but it doesn't look like it has all of the hoses under my hood, unless Im supposed to eliminate some of the stock Toyota steel elbow / brackets when I replace the hoses... Anyone?

Can they not look all this up at the parts store?? Do you have a guy you trust at one of them where you live?? There is a guy at Oreillys that I always use that has been there for 10+ years and he can find/look up anything. I would find someone like that that way you know for sure.

I've gotten sets for several at either Kragen/oreilly or Napa. At Napa, they even have a book with the very diagram you describe...

How many hoses are you looking to replace? There should only be 4 or so formed hoses in the actual "cooling system". All the rest are usually (I am pretty sure, check me if I am wrong here guys) 3/4" heater hose, available by the foot.

Yeah try Napa. Don't get hoses at Autozone. You want good stuff in your truck. I didn't have good luck with hoses. I spent a LOT of time at the dealership figuring out what hoses I needed. It's not easy. And of course some you will have to cut to fit. Yes, replace the old clamps. It took me a few tries to get all the hoses I needed for my truck, and my local dealership guys are great, so don't be surprised if it's a bit of a frustrating experience.

Ideally I would like to replace every hose in the system. I found some Good Year formed hoses for the main cooling system, I just cant find the formed or pre bent heater hoses, Ill stop in at Napa and see what they tell me, if its all just buy it by the foot tubing that would be easy to swap out, Ive picked up all new stainless clamps the other day at Home Depot for another project! Any good suggestions for a cooling system cleaner, I think it could use more than a plain flush!

No advice on a cleanser, sorry...

You'd think it would be easy to walk into the dealership or a parts store, and say "I'd like to replace all my coolant hoses" and walk out 15 minutes later with what you need...but believe me, it's not. You'll get them all eventually, though. They get pricey..
