Question Can you run warm / hot water through a power washer?

Ive got a few year old Troy Bilt 3.5HP power washer, Im wondering if I can hook it up to the hot water hose hook up in my basement and use it this weekend to power wash my Trekker with a little steam effect! I just dont want to F up my power washers pump. Any ideas? Im going to email Troy Bilt / MTD to make sure but I thought Id run it by the experts too!

I don't see why you could'nt I've run warm water through press. washers before with no problems... I would'nt run straight hot through though after a while it will get VERY hot and might soften/melt some of the plastic parts in the system to say nothing of scalding you with the back spray/mist.
I would say run the water as warm as you can stand to wash your hands with and you'll be fine.

Define hot. I'd do it with my pressure washer without hesitation just not go crazy with excessively long duty cycles.

Sure you can. At work we have a pressure washer that has a burner hooked up to it.

How water wont last long hooked up to your hot water heater at the house. Make it quick!

Some of the seals in some pumps don`t care for hot water . If you sill have the owners manual it should tell you in there .

Good luck with trying to ask the company as they more than likely just assemble the parts.

If you can find the pump manufacture with a serial # perhaps chase down the information that way
