I'm about to install a new exhaust in my 'Runner, and I need to move the cat, and thus the O2 sensor, back 8". The wire for the O2 won't reach back that far, so I was told to lengthen it with "single pair wire". My question is, where can I find single pair wire? Is there another name for it that I don't know? Is there somthing else I can use to lengthen the O2? Thanks!

There's nothing special about the wire. "single pair" I think just means two insulated wires (either stranded or solid) in one insulated "wire". For example, romex (normal house wire) could probably be called "single pair with a ground".

Just look at the wire size and go to HD or Lowe's or the local parts house and get a two conductor (my O2 sensor is only one conductor, btw) wire of the right size (or larger) and splice it in. I'm guessing it's 16 or 18 gauge.

I know on my 1-wire '85, the O2 sensor wire is one conductor with a grounded shield around it. On the 4-wire vehicles, you have 2 additional power wires for the heater.

You might be right but my 85 is not that way. When I installed my LC Engineering header and exhaust system the package included an extension "kit" for the O2 sensor. It was basically nothing more than a length of wire and a couple of splice connectors. It was one conductor with normal insulation. There was no grounded shielding.
