Is anybody running one of these? NOT the 20003 but the 20005, I screwed up in the title...

I noticed the pump doesn't have much of a duty cycle but with the tank I'd think that wouldn't be much of an issue. Yes, I have found it cheaper else where online.

Might want to ask Viair what that duty cycle is based on. That is, is it say 3 minutes on every 10 or 18 minutes in an hour. Both are 30% but it is the run time that makes a difference. At that air flow rate, you'll need at least 10 minutes to fill some decent sized tires. And a 2 gallon tank, while nice, is not a whole lot of storage when it comes to filling tires:

i use the AC pump... it works GREAT. i've thought about putting together a kit that would make it easy to do, i just havent gotten the parts yet.... if you decide to make your own, one piece of advise, dont get the 110/145 psi shut off switch.. even at about 3k the max pressure the ac can build is about 135. i need to step down to the the 90/120 switch. let me know if you want more info on what all you need.

Tofer, yup, maybe that's what I'll just do. YEARS ago, FROR made a conversion kit for A/C pumps. I always figured I could make my own. So, I guess I'll just go that route. You should put a kit together, but I don't know how well they would sell for you? I mean, I would buy one!!

Can i get a lil more info on using the AC pump as an airsource?

 

you use the compressor to compress air.. you need a inline oilier and and inline filter and a pressure switch. you put the oiler on the Low pressure side, and then run the high pressure side as far back as possible (to allow the vaporized oil to condense again) and have the filter at the end. I will do a full write up once i get the parts lined up to do it again on my baby runner..
