chevy 383 stroker ina 84 extra cab 4x4

ok so i finnally completed my 383 stroker build and it runs and drive, its got a 750 edelbrok 4bbl carb, headers, the whole works. but the one quetion i have is the electronic distriubiter wont fit back there and im stuck to using the older(smaller) points distrubiter. casue i dont have room for the larger electronic one. and the pioints dont create a strong enough spark and it sputters when i punch it.. should i get a msd setup or what have you guys done to fix this problem?

i have a 350 in my yota and had the same problem with the points go to any parts store and they sell a kit forgot what its called now but it converts your distrib into an electronic just take your points out and install the kit and your good to go

Pertronixs

Here is the web site, www.pertronix.com. It comes with everything to convert it over and can be completed in about thirty minutes.

It will give more clearance between the dist and the firewall due to it being a smaller dist. than the monster GM hei dist. may still have problems with the bellhousing to firewall clearance unless you can get the motor to sit low enough for clearance.
