rear differential electronic lock

After years of using my locking rear differential successfully on my 2000 Tacoma TRD 4x4, the locker quit working last summer. Toyota wants over $700 for replacement, so I wonder if anyone has repaired this actuator that is mounted on the rear differential.

From what ive read here, the actuator motors can go bad and in most cases replacing it gets the locker working again.

Thanks. I'll probably pull it off to see if I can get another motor or repair this one.
