I have a 1996 4runner and it has a busted block. Rod went right threw it. I bought it this way. I have access to a 2002 tundra 3.4 motor. Will the long block off of the 2002 work in the 96? I have read that the later engines were drive by wire but cant I just swap the 96 thottle body to the 02 longblock. Also are there any other differences i should look out for. Any information would be great. Thanks

 

yes you can i belive you just swap every thing on the 96 over and you are done
