4x2 toyota pickup and 31's?

Hey guys I have used the search feature yet i haven't found the info I need. I have a 4x2 92 xcab toyota that I plan on putting a 3 inch body lift, 31 inch tires, 15x10 wheels and some Bushwaker fender flares. Will this be enuff to fit 31s or will I need to put in some 2 inch lift shackles and turn up the torsion bars. I do not plan on mudding this truck it was left to me by my wifes father when he died earlier last year, so I am keeping it for sure. I have already redone the interior, well everything except the front seat covers.

Any useful info is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Why exactly do you want to do this to your truck? I'm just curious

I drive out to the coal mines where my dad works to go fishing and we haul wood in it for camp outs. I have a Ford Excursion 4x4 that I am going to lift and put 37s on for mudding and what not. The yoda I drive everyday and it would make the ole lady happy to see it finished finally. I have a buddy that paints cars and he is going to paint it for next to nothing. Going to go olive drab green with a pin up girl on the back Bayou Betty. This guy will help me with the lift and everything else. He is really slick when it comes to custom fab work.

unless you plan to regear it, the 31s are going to kill your power and mileage for it as a DD. with that said, i would ditch the 3'' body lift for a set of lift spindles and the lift shackles. its alot more money but worth it in the long run. also check out this thread for other lift options https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...thread-183959/

Yeah, my truck is slow as heck now. I "could" make it up most hills in 5th, but I have to shift down...not to mention these tires SUCK with wet traction on the road and handling.

I was thinking of going to 4.10 I believe. But have not done any research and I have no clue whats in my truck. My truck spins 2700rpm at 65. I'm not sure if thats good or bad.

i have 4:10 in my truck with 30's and it spins a little high on the freeway so with 31's it should be perfect.
