Anybody running these an a wheeler? I don't care for chromo or Aluminum, as I'm only concerned about the performance. I'm currently running 33/12.5/15 thinking that the 17" rim might yeild some interesting benefits:
1) I'm thinking that that the smaller sidewall would mean I can run a wider rim with low psi and not worry about the bead as much, cause I like it low 3psi.
2) That the 17" rims will help me with the ground clearance when airing down.
Any one got experience?

Usually comes down to metric based tires are more expensive than standard based tires, and the lack of sidewall means less flex from the tire, here in Florida where I live now that's not as big of a deal so I"ve been considering going metric sized tires, but it's hard to go away from a cheaper tire at 33.12.50x15 to a more expensive metric 16" or 17"....

Thanks, I'm kinda looking at the with a bigger rim that I can maintain some ground clearance when aired down. With less sidewall was thinking that I got run a wider rim without the concerns of breaking the bead when wheeling and running low pressures. I don't have issues now with the 15x8 rims and the 33/12.5 but a lot of ground clearance is lost as the sidewall start to bulge. But honestly I don't know if I'm going to want to step up the a taller tire yet.
