need help with spare tire carrier........

need help with a spare tire carrier. anyone ever installed a factory type spare tire swingout style carrier on a non equipped 4runner? if so, how? or should i just go with a basket on top and throw a spare in it or fab a rear bumper up and build my own swingout style spare tire carrier? any ideas?

ok trucks that have the carrier stock have BRACING in the fender.. just mounting on your truck will rip out!! the tire is heavy .. if you used plate braced it youll be fine....

id spend the cash and get a sweet bumper with one built in.... unless you got a free one kick round

i figured that it would have some sort of reinforcement inside the body for the carrier. yeah, im pretty much stuck between buying a bumper with a swingout carrier or doing the roof rack thing but im not sure.........

Have you looked into the cbi tire carrier. They can be inconvenient but it's well built and looks pretty good to me.
