Power window installation - apply power only when key is inserted

Im not sure if this has been answered before but here goes:

I'm trying to install this after-market power window kit on my truck and It seems to work fine except the fact that the power window motor is always 'ON' (12v power supplied directly from battery). I want to set it up so that the motor only receives power when key is in ignition.

Is there any ground wire that only becomes active when truck is started. So that I can move my current ground from being ground to the body to this special ground. Any suggestions?

Dam! it just hit me! What I need is a simple relay. Connect the relay to the cigarette lighter as a switch since it only works once key is inserted. Am I on the right path?

That'll work, you can use any wire that is only live when the key is on to trigger the relay.
