Largest/beefy-est tires without rubbing on stock 06 Tacoma?

i have an 06 non-trd tacoma extended cab and i was wondering what the biggest tires i could get on it without rubbing would be. i plan on keeping the stock suspension and dont really have a need to raise it at all since i rarely go off road. i guess you could say this is more for cosmetic purposes. can i get 31" x 10.5? and what about 15" or 16" wheel size? i currently have 16" wheels but would be open to going to 15s. thanks.

You should probably state your intended use for the truck. If you are actually going to use it off road then I think 265/75r16 (31") is the largest. I am going off of my buddies truck which is a 06 with the trd package. When he flexes out there is a bit of room before rubbing but not much. If you are only running it on the street you may be able to go bigger. I don't know.

Thanks. Thats kinda what I was after

although i actually get some rubbing (or what sounds like it) now and i 245/75/16. i am still trying to nail it down but it seems to do it when i am breaking, or flexing a bit, and turning. so i was kinda wondering if a 265/70/16 would be a good option. and i dont have the trd suspension which i believe is a bit stiffer and possibly a smidge higher than the non-trd. oh and like i said, my intent is light off-road so mostly just daily driving on roads.

Probably cannot go to a 15 inch wheel with your taco. the brakes are simply just too big. But on your 16 inch stock wheels you may be able to run 265/75/16s with little to no problems.
