oil loss on 95 v6 p/u

95 v6 200k manual 4x4 p/u
she's losing oil- doesn't drip, motor is clean, no smoke or odd smelling exhaust, plugs are good (slight white/brown residue on plug),
she will lose a quart on a 500 mile trip; only place that I see oil is where the transmission mates to the engine it is wet from oil; and on the plugthreads (the tip/ anode is dry)
I park in the same place and there is no oil on the driveway,
So, I'm asking you guys any ideas?

thanks
jon

Yea is there oil in the intake or Throttle body? If so your PCV valve may have had it and be time for a new one.... the oil coming down on the back of the engine near the tranny is prolly running down from your valve covers...... What you should do it replace the pcv valve, the intake gaskets, and valve cover gaskets and go ahead and giver her a tune-up while ur at it.... She may on the other had just have worn pistion rings and burn oil at high rpms....

Another thing to consider is what weight oil are you using? might be a bit thin for those highway drives and is, like Kiroshu suggested, getting past the rings.

She's going to an independant toy shop for further tech expertize (ie wife will not tolerate valve cover job in the garage); but, it's either the rear main seal and/ or valve covers which would replace the pcv when done.
I'm not getting any oil in the throttle body, and I'm running castrol 10-30 with lucas oil additive; either way thanks for the help
If its the rear main, not bad as this is the original clutch
