1987 toyota electrical problem

hey guys, my son has a 1987 toyota he just bought a month ago. he just replaced the altinator and the battery, but the battery drains down everytime he uses his turn signals or lights, wiperblades. does anyone have a clue as to where the problem may be?

I am a bit confused...Does it 'die' instantly, or over time? What have you checked this far?

If it's an '87, it will also have an external regulator for the alternator. Check the voltages there to make sure it's charging correctly.
