A/T Slipping when wet??

Another retarded issue? lol
A/T 86 Yota 4x4, 170K on body (unkown on trans so lets say 170K)... Transmission decides that it wants to start slipping and acting all kinds of stupid with first gear when i drive though a Florida storm lake in the road, or a lot of water with the truck, like a big ass puddle to be funny. Its done this like 4 times now. It will just not want to catch the gear, slips and grabs at a higher RPM. Second gear up seems ok. ONLY does it when it goes though water, or is pouring ass rain here.
Anouther thing, it is starting to feel is that it seems to take a little longer than before to start grabbing the gear. Like a long hold out bewteen gears. No matter weather or travel condition. Fluid is only like 10K miles old. Doesnt seem like its wanting to slip or slips, just winds out kinda far sometimes. Any ideas on that

thanks guys

Check your fluid for clutch material, or for a burnt smell. Lots can happen to an old tranny in 10,000 miles

LOL no its totally a transmission not getting a grib when it does decide to it slams lol. I know the diff btw tires spinning and a transmission slipping. It shifts super solid except when it rains then first gear go dumb.

maybe you have a wiring connection getting wet and grounding out.

It does have that button and I usually just leave it in ECON mode. I am going to follow the electrical wiring back and see if there are any exposed wires from the transmission that would make it do it.
