2nd gen stock 4runner rear bumper

Does anyone know how much a stock rear bumper is?
I got rear ended the other day, and I'm wanting to replace the bumper with a tube bumper...

see where this is going?

It depends where you get it and who you get it from. I would go with a tube if that's the direction you are gonna end up going eventually. It'll save you a lot in another rear end accident.

I went with Scotty's (Addicted Off-Road) rear bumper. Shipping was a lot less in comparison to MC and it's a very solid piece.

I "restored" my stock rear bumper... only because I dont like the look of tube bumpers on a 4Runner. I needed a new rear bumper piece. $100.00 from ebay. thats not counting the two side panels, which are probably like 50-75 bucks a piece. IF you need them. and if you were rear ended, Im almost sure your brackets pushed the body up on where they are mounted... and that was another 252 dollars to get those pulled out. Go for an aftermarket, if you want to. they mount to where your hitch is. all in all, about the same price. heh
