cruiser AWD cancel

Hey all,
new here, thanks for lettin me join.
I just purchased a 94 land cruiser with the full time AWD.
Now, I of course didnt expect to get decent MPG. I'm just wondering if there is a way to convert it to RWD for just driving around town but still be able to switch to 4hi or 4Lo. Ya know, like the old school way. Sorry for the silly question but Im just wonderin.

thanks to all

Should be able to put manual locking hubs up front, the FJ80s use drive flanges that are set up the same as the '85 and older pickup/4Runner hubs. Or try the I8hMud cruiser forum:
