Anybody use POR15 for rock chips?

I've got a bunch of rock chips in my front bumper, hood, quarter panels that have a slight hazing of rust in them, can I sand the rust out and dab some POR15 on? Has anyone done this? Also, does it require a uv topcoat?

Yes, you can sand it out and put the POR15 right on the metal BUT if it is going to be exposed to sunlight you must topcoat it or the UV rays will denature the paint. Stuff is rock solid once you do though. Just make sure to clean and degrease the area thoroughly first or it could effect the POR15.

i've taken my dremel and a small grinding bit and ground all the rust out of the rock chip, cleaned, and dabbed POR 15 into the hole. i waited a couple days for it to cure fully and then level sanded smooth and buffed, no problems since i did it 2 years ago.
