I want an aftermarket air intake for 1990 22RE
I’m looking for a decent air intake system for my 1990 22RE. The engine is bone stock right now, & all I really want is something to help it breathe better. I have a cheapo generic air intake on my ’95 accord 5spd (just a pipe with a cone style filter at the end of it) & it makes a noticeable difference in the power, gas mileage, & just general breathing. Can I expect the same effect from my 22RE? Please recommend some good, lower budget options. One concern I have is: I noticed some wires/ sensors coming from the box where the air filter is- how will an aftermarket intake work with whatever systems/ sensors those wires are for?
