I'll bite.

4Runner all the way!! Seriously, the Armada is a bit trendy for my taste and the word Armada a bit to warlike.

I'd go for the Sequoia

I don't really care for the Sequoia. Inside it seems kind of cheap and plain. I really don't like the Armada. I think the new 4runner is better than both unless you need all the extra room.

The Armada has a interesting look, but I would go with either the 4Runner or Sequioa. Hard to beat the tried & true.

That Armada looks too low!

When is Toyota going to come out with an engine to compete with that 5.6L?

I just read the specs on the Armada and it has the most HP (a bit over 300 I think) and largest towing capacity in it's class and at 9000lbs that's pretty good even the Expedition can't touch it but.........

..........it's kinda looking. The Only Nissan 4WD I like right now is the Exterra, especially the SC'd version.

My wife has an 02 sequia and we love it. It is a bit plain on the inside and doesn't have al the bells and whistles of some comparably priced suv's but you can't beat the way it drives and handles compared to anything else IMO.

I've ridden in both the new 4-runner and the Sequoia and the 4R rides and drives MUCH better. It accelerates so much better too...If you need to be hauling a lot of kids or stuff then the Sequoia is the way to go.

Plus...its a Toyota...can't go wrong with Toyota buddy!

I guess I didn't make it clear to click on the link. Edmunds did a head to head test on both to see who is the king of full-size and the Sequoia won.

While they preferred the Sequoia they also did note that the Armada was a truck at heart while the Toyota was a truck by definition only meaning the Toyota was preferred as an easy to drive comfortable vehicle. If you needed actual work done then the Armada would be a better choice with 60 more ponies,70 more ft lbs of torque and a towing capacity of 2900 more lbs.

Hmmm, sounds like the Nissan wins if the SUV is for a man.

The only problem i have with those numbers is that it seams as if Nissan pulls them staight out of there . There are so many examples of how most of there cars are over rated on power. Infact, i beleiver there was a law suit against them on it. Just for an example, look at the new Q45 vs. the New LS. The Q has a slightly larger engine. with "50" more HP and 13 lb. ft. more torque. I beleive it is lighter and it still gets beat all around by the LS. doesn't make sense. This is even before the LS gots its new 6 speed.

In the newest issue of Off-Road Adventures mag. they dyno-tested a new Tundra and found that it was only putting out 190hp instead of the claimed 245hp. It seems like even Toyota ups the horsepower.:pat:

Nissan's hp and torque figures are about exact as they come. They have tested the titan against the ford, chevy, and dodge 1/2 tons and it smokes them all, period in all out power for towing. The armada has the same engine/drivetrain, and nothing can touch it in usable power, because the torque comes on at such a low rpm, making towing a great thing with either of them.

The dyno #s would be wheel horsepower and on a engine rated at 245hp at the crank that sounds about right.

I don't even want to think how much (or how little) wheelhorse our 183hp at the crank gets to the ground.

Don't Toyota's always lose out when it comes to HP?

If you're talking about the Lexus LS430 (that doesen't have a 6 speed BTW) which seems to be the only contender to the Q45 with the name LS. You should know that the only reason most magazines say the Lexus is the winner is because it's all around better as a luxury car. The Q45 smokes in on the track in every way possible.

I've driven the LS430 w/19" chrome wheels, and it felt pretty damn slow, in fact we raced a Integra LS (non VTEC) in a 1/4 mile, and the LS430 only won by 2 car length's against a 16 sec Integra.

The Q45 is a much more powerful car, that can hold it's own against S500's, 740il's, and leave A8's in it's rear view mirror without a problem (I've driven all of the above multiple times)

Lexus has always been behind in performance number's, but that's not what Lexus buyer's want, so Lexus gives them exactly what they do want, which is the best and quietest ride possible with Toyota quality and price.

if i required a fullsize i doubt id get either one. id go american. the sequoia needs a bigger v8 and the armada i just dont really like. oh ya and 190 wheel hp is 223 crank hp using a 15% loss. so the tundra is a little overrated. but all cars are for the most part. also nissan didnt compare to chevy's 2500 suburban with the 8.1 and 6.0 v8s, they also didnt compare fords new 3v 300hp 5.4l, so basically they manipulated the tests to make them look good, what else would you expect from a company that wants to make money

Actually, the 2004 LS430 has a SIX speed automatic. Even the 5 speed automatic from 2001-2003 beats the Q45 from 0-60. The 5 speed was 6.3 and the new 6 speed w/ same HP is 5.9. Nissan/Infinity doesn't post their performance specs. on their websited but i have seen anywhere from 6.0-6.5 0-60. The LS also wins in the 1/4mi. And i have driven the 2001 LS430 w/ a 5speed MANY times, and it certainly does not feel slow. And as far as the S500 and new 745...yeah, they both get beat to 60mph by the new LS. The s500 is 6.1 and last i checked the 745 was 6.3. And i have also driven these and the 745 does not feel that great. And just in addition, the LS destroys them all at braking.
