wierd stalling problem on my 88 22re runner. i was sitting at a stoplight in downtown sacramento and all of the sudden, the truck died and wouldnt restart for about a minute. after that minute, it started back up like nothing happened and there was no check eng. light. i talked to my uncle at the dealer and he said that the wire harness for the injectors might have rubbed through on the intake manifold and be shorting out a wire. I checked and really couldnt see anything shorted out there--

does anyone have experience with this?

Hiccups happen from time to time, momentary vapor lock or water in the fuel are typical causes. A really dirty throttle body can to this as well.

 

Try pulling your ECU codes anyway. A lot of the time the light doesn't stay on.
