Sorry man, I have not messed with a carb in a long time. Hold it...I though 87 would be EFI?

Put some pictures up of the truck and of some of the suspension. How long are the rear shackles? Are there blocks in there.

It could be the fuel pump, after the motor warms up you are getting vapor lock.

It could be the coil, check for spark after it stalls.

It could be the fuel filter.

Check your vacuum line for holes or broken lines.

Problem is that it could be a lot of things. Start with what I give you to check. Start with the simple things.

just changed the pump it starts and runs amazing then stalls when warm stays running when on the gas tho also runs rough for a min and a half before stalls but ill check the lines tomorrow o there is a line going to the red valve???? and its not hooked up but its plugged with a skew idk what the reed valve does also i might be picking up an 89 pick up im thinking about just swapping the heads for the efi so i don't have to deal with this any opinions?

You're just going to add more problems with EFI

ok well i changed the fuel filter and still nothing also checked vac lines same there but i did find something interesting the fuel filter was nasty so we cut it open and it was all brown and junk but when i syphened it out of the tank the other day cuz i needed gas to get to work lol it was the norm wawa gas color but any way i also noticed that the ethanol was gelling up in the filter a little bit so i think im staying away from using that crap gas again im just guna run shell in it for now so i think that the gas gummed up the jets? in the carb. can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove the carb i was lookin at it and it looks like a pain in the ass to get off.

'86+ 4runners were standard with EFI. 4x4 trucks had carbs standard (efi upgrade) until '88. 2wd had carb option until '92, and both 4x4 and 2wd could be special ordered with carbs after that.

Gotcha thank you...No matter how hard I try, I'll probably forget again though.

ok the other day i sprayed a bunch of carb cleaner in the carb and let it sit for a bit and messed around with the choke and drop down it didnt stay running that day but when i moved it out of the driveway last night i left it running and when it hit op temp it stayed running for a while i then gave it gas and when i let off it stalled but i started it up and cracked it open a few times and then it held an idle again o and i filled the tank with the shell gas now no more wawa gas! im thinking the ethanol in the wawa gas messed with the carb and now its starting to clean out.

That could be...SeaFoam it might help out as well.
I don't think carb's will like the mix in the fuel, can't compensate for the difference in burning.
