Question anybody retrofit a late-model 5 speed in an 86-88 truck? Pics Appreciated!!!

Has anybody installed late model W-56 transmissions C, D, or E in 86-88 year model toyotas?

Looking at doing this job in my truck, and wondering how it turned out, with clearance for the dash, shift covers in the interior, etc.

Advice and / or stories are greatly appreciated, but install and finished job pics would be really cool

Thanks Guys!!

I am pretty sure the w56c/d/e are for the most part the same. As long as it is the same shifter style (top shift or forward shift t-case) it should work.

Thats just the thing, the newer model C/D/E trannys are ALL, to my knowledge, forward shift t-case transmissions. My original equipment is top-shift. Just lookin to see if any pics are out there to compare how the shifters fit up in the truck with the interior.
