gm 3.4
any one have any info on swapping one of these into a yota?
My friend is getting rid of his s15 with a swapped in 3.4 out of a firebird thats nicely set up and he's willing to give it to me along with the rest of what i need from the truck.
I ve got a choice, rebuild my 22re or fit in the 3.4. the engine runs great, and its free, my 22re needs a full rebuild.
not much info on a GM 3.4 swap floating around, I haven't found any.

Are you talking about the 3400 DOHC or the 3.4 OHV. If you are talking about the DOHC, they are OK motors. I am actually in the process of a L67 (Series II 3800 SC) swap. All of the GM 60 degree v6 and 3800 series II and III used the same bell pattern. A 96 to 02 Dodge dakota 4 cyl bellhousing will mate your motor to a toyota R15X transmission. The wiring is a BIZNITCH. The starter on the dodge bell is on the passenger side, make sure your block has mounting provisions for a starter on the passenger side.
