I couldnt get the rear window to work so I made this. Both button in the console and on the tailgate were gone so I had to do something. Its not pretty but it works.

I took the rear window motor apart which was electric, and welded a couple pieces of metal to the gears on the inside which turned it into a manual window instead of electric

I can see the photos now.

How about welding a 3/8" extension to the gear so you can use a ratchet to operate the window?

Oh! Then he could run a 6 foot long extension from the center console back and use a ratchet to open the window from the drivers seat!!! I bet the extension would stay in place if he snugged it in between the rear seats.

that's ghettofabulous!

you should have just welded an old socket and short extention to it, then you could have used a ratchet

Calling that "welding" is a bit presumtuous.

Glad it works but it looks like
