I would start by checking your timing...did it happen right after you changed you cap and rotor or just slowly get worse?

id also make sure those new wires clamped onto the sparks well. they kinda click when they do. when i changed mine i had to physically push the new wire terminal further into the big rubber insulator that plugs onto the plug...that way I could for sure feel them click on well and then pushed the rubber insulator back down on the plug.

"but if im in park or nutral it will idol just fine" somehow i didnt see this the first time this points to other things. It would seem clutch related and I do not have a auto so I probably wont be much help.

however...if it idled better with just a little bit of gas peddle, i might start to suspect fuel filter starting to clog.

yeah cause when you put it in gear the torque converter actually puts some pull on the engine even without depressing the gas...so if the gas was a little restricted (and usually slowly gets worse in the filter) I could imagine how maybe a restricted filter might not allow it to get enough gas to pull the vehicle in gear.

I dont know...just bouncing ideas around.

we should all be replacing our filters if we havnt anyways so you could try it for 15$ and at least you would be doing something you should anyways even if it doesnt do anything.
