well ive been reading around for what the oil pressure is supposed to be and from what ive read its 4-10 psi at idle and at 3K 36-71...mines at 40-50 at idle and about 70 when revved, (dunno rpm dont have tach) does this mean blockage? bad oil filter? top ends getting plenty of oil i think, i adjusted the valves the other day and everything was covered and the valve cover was dripping....any thoughts?

 

anybody? i dun wanna wheel this guy with a partially clogged pickup screen, and i dont really wanna pull my oil pan for no reason either...

I'm running around 20-30PSI idle and 75PSI cruising on my new 22RE, about 500 miles on it so far, I'd say you're fine.

Iv always been tought if oil pressure isn't maxed your good.
If it's not going at all your bad.
So I would have to say your okay for now.

 

yeah its been good, i did however have some pretty serious metal shavings in my oil pan (took it off cuz it was leaking) and havnt hooked my pressure guage back up to see if it helped, but it still sounds like a bag o spoons so all is good
