symptoms: losing power on highway especially uphill smelling clutch too. cannot maint

1991 yota p/u with 220k. 22re.
condition: compression readings- cyl. 1,2.3 = 170, cyl. 4= 160
afm replaced: ohms do rise as vane is opened from 200-almost 500. think oem is 200-1000
checked exhaust: not obstructed.replaced 1st of two 02 sensors
no check engine light showing
vacuum gauge: rapidly vibrating needle between 15 and 18. does not smooth out as throttle is opened which indicates worn valve guides. thinking maybe vacuum line open
somewhere.
clutch: can move truck starting in 3rd gear.
engine tuned at 800 rpms. 5btdc. plugs are all golden and dry. cap and rotor appear clean

needless to say, must get this baby up and running pronto. any and all help greatly appreciated. Mike

Are you noticing the an rpm increase/race at all at those speeds. If so, then it needs a new clutch.
