Talking 86 Toyota Pickup 22R

Blower motor resister keeps burning out. I've replaced blower motor and switch w/ same results. Is there more to this system? Thanks.

The fan switch and resister are the only two things that i know of that control the fan speed. The resister is mounted in the fan housing to help cool it because it gets hot during use, maybe there are some leaves or other junk in the fan housing blocking the air flow across the resister and after a while the resister gets so hot that it just burns out. Im just throwing out ideas that might possibly be causing the problem your having ?.

You did replace the blower resistor with a new one. I tried a used one it was a waste of time.

The most often just die of old age

I'll check this out. Something is causing the motor (New) to cause the resister to burn out. If I find no blockage, I'll take it to someone who can check the amperage, etc. Thanks so much for your kind response and God bless.
