Welcome to Yotatech!!!!!!

Why do you think you need one? I had a Crane Hi-6s on my 22R-E, but I tell you what the truck sure runs better with the factory ignition box.

Well, that's what I got the Crane for too, but it wasn't really worth it though.

im with bigblue.. it isnt worth it on a 22re, had a freind who put one on his 87 runner and like previously mentioned.. didnt run any better then stock. he sold the rig before he could pull it off and sell it seperatly... i can see where it would be nice to have the rev limiter tho

Doesnt the 22re computer have a rev limiter??

The reason I ask is because when my throttle cable frayed and got stuck in WOT postion it sounded like it hit a rev limiter SEVERAL times before I could shut her down.

i had an msd on my 92 truck 22re....Now granted i had modified the vafm, added a header and built a cold air tube. if your stock not much but if your not i picked up an avg of 1-2 mpg and 5hp on the dyno. To install the MSD on the truck you need a tach adapter from MSD about 35 or so dollars....To each his own and if i come arocss another one for a good price i will put in on my 85 runner as well
