Bolt at End of axel

The 12mm bolt and washer at the end of the axel,is it needed with the locking hubs?

I would assume if it's there, Toyota didnt add it for decoration

If you dont want your axle to slide out when flexed...yes...I'd leave it there. Why would you want to remove it anyway? Not like its in the way or anything....

It was not there when I installed a set of locking hubs. The truck did not Have locking hubs, When I bought it.Went to install them,I noticed it was gone,so I installed the hubs,asked the question,and now will install the bolt.I guess who ever last was in there left it out.And I know its not for decoration. !!!!

What about the C clip and washer past the gold bolt/washer, you need those with the manual hubs too?
