We are not mind readers. From your question, all we can deduce is that you replaced the fuel pump and the truck still doesn't run. We don't even know if it's carbureted or injected. Does it have spark? Fuel? Trouble codes?

Okay, what he said was (in english)
"I bought an 88' yota that did not run. I replaced the mallory fuel pump with the e200o, the mallory seemed to be wasting too high of a volume. The truck runs, but will not rev up."
It's injected (22RE)

ok........i posted that when i was really tired. what i ment to say was i bought a 1988 toyota with a 22re efi and the bed removed and and a keg for the gas tank it had a mallory 4060i fuel pump on it........big pump 60-70gph 90psi. it would start but not rev. so i got to looking around and everybody is using a e2000 airtex pump which puts out30-40 gph and 75psi. started it and it still runs like . put plugs in it still runs like . i was a jeeper and am trying the toyota theme. i know nothing about them i need some guidance. it starts and ideals ok but when you give it gas it just falls on its face. would the fuel filter cause it? im lost i need to getit running good so i can start the exo and straight axle swap..........thanks corbin

First thing is that you need to practice your typing skills and proof-read your posts before posting them

Second, The fuel filter can effect the loss of power that you are having. When a filter goes bad it can start and tends to bog down when you are trying to accelerate. Your best bet would be to replace the fuel filter and see how that goes.

When mine went out it did the exact same thing you are trying to explain. If that is your problem then its an easy fix. If not then it doesn't hurt to replace it anyways. Good luck

Try replacing the fuel filter and see if that helps, the filter can plug up and restrict fuel flow, let us know what happens with the new filter.

Any codes? Is a check engine light on..... Check for vac leaks in the main intake tube between the air flow meter and throttle body. Air filter dirty? If it does have a code or engine light it sounds to me just by guessing its a temp prob and your coolant temp sensor my be bad or your air flow meter is bad(Just by guess from the info i have so far). TPS? You said it has a keg in that back instead of the fuel tank intself being used.... may i ask why? i would highly recommend getting the OEM fuel tank back up and running....

ya i am going to try the fuel filter tomorrow. the keg is for the fact it is only about four feet long after the cab. all the suspension is in the way i was left with a fuel cell or a keg......lol the keg is an eye catcher. i will let you guys know how the filter swap goes thanks for the input.

Is the engine dieing or just stumbling when giving gas? Do you have a cat converter? If its plugged the engine will idle but will die out when given gas.
