Question 1999 Runner fuel filter

Hey, does anyone know where I can get a fuel filter for my 1999 4-runner? Tried pep boys, etc., but they don't sell them...they say it requires disassembly...??

fuel filter

Thanks Boss, but can the average Jane change it or does it have to be done by the dealer?

On the Wrench-O-Meter - prob a 3 out of 10. I give it that much just becase there is a some spillage of gas.

Uscrew the gas cap to release any built up pressure. Look underneath the drivers door - just inside of the frame rail. You should see a small canister with fuel lines leading in/out. Just undo the compression nuts on each side and remove. Replace with a factory original.

Best of Luck
Andrew
