Lying low in the back, is there an easy fix.

My runner lays low in the back, i'm guessing 295k Km's on Northern Alberta roads has taken some toll on the leafs. Can these be blocked up an inch or two or is it just easier to get some new heavier leave's and stick em' in there. Runs like a dream still though, gutless as hell, but can still spin a wheel. I don't need advice on putting a lift kit in it, i've found at least a billion threads on lift kitting. A lift kit would be worth more that the whole truck.

If it is indeed leaf's and not coils (no year given) check this out
http://gearinstalls.com/miked.htm
With the exception of the springs all parts can be bought from ZUK there and as for the spings if you surf his page on the bottom left you will find where you can get the springs and see more people who have done the mod.

A few Pics

Its a 95, 3.Slow, V6. A couple of terrible pics of her, the skux deluxe. She's more of a summer creature, but she loves to get sideways in winter. Hence no lift suggestions please.

The local Pick and Pull has plenty of springs. Just get the length and diameter of your springs and what not. Then head down to PnP to find something that'll work for ya.

Pretty simple option, problem with Canada is if you modify anything you get screwed in insurance, could still be a goer though, thanks.

Looks like a 4runner if so then you have coils not leafs unless someone did a rear conversion. If it is coils then you need to get either
A. New coils stock size or if any kind of lift a set to match the lift.
B. coil spacers could help you out
both options are no more then $200 and if you put them in yourself that's all it will cost you.

It definitely has Leaf's in the rear. Its registered as a 95, possibly different to the US 4Runner. No one works on my vehicles but me so i just need the best option. Its finally warm enough to work on it, so its getting some love at the moment. New rotors, pads, rod ends today, new CV's and rear axle seals, belts, plugs and leads yesterday.

Well if it has leafs then do the ZUK mod check out all the different people that have done it on his page , I myself was going to do it to my 88 but a friend gave me some never used 4" lift leafs so it looks like a lift is in the near future for my 88 now then all 3 90 , 93 sas and the 88 will be 4" or better lifted

Find it hard to believe it's leafs, unless it's already been converted, as stated above. On my 92, a set of Moog c-255 coils from the local Bumper to Bumper brought it up an inch or so to level.

I put Moog C255 coils in my 95 4Runner. Raised it about 1 1/2", just enough to straighten it out. Less than $100. Added four Rancho 5000 shocks; good enough for snow and light off roading.

No, it has coils unless someone modified it. Canadian 4Runners are the same as US, only difference is the speedometer is in km/h, and you have daytime running lights.

I also doubt that there are leaf springs back there, unless someone did the conversion.

Personally, I love my OME's with the Nitrocharger shocks, but you're looking at close to $500 Canadian to do it.

and if they're springs, why not helper bags? (dunno on cost though, but if you ran bags w/a manual filling shrader valve, it's pretty cheap an easy from what ive seen)

You can also get a spacer from Downey if you want to be really cheap...this is assuming you actually have a 95 with COILS.
