84 pick up carb question?

84 pick up carb question?
My 84 yota has a carb thats sticking. I have the original but it has sat up for years. Would a rebuild kit work on it. Also, the breather on it isn't the one that goes on it. The guy I got it from gut it to fit and lets just say it don't fit. Where can I get one from.

you talkin about the filter or air cleaner assembly thingy?..lol
and you would probably be better off takin it to a shop to have it rebuilt..they are WAY more extensive than the average person..
but it you do do the rebuild yourself make sure you take apart the carb..and soak it in some really really really really really good parts cleaner solution for a few hours..maybe even a day or 2 if you can... that will clean EVERY LITTLE BIT..then put it back together with said kit and you should be good..lol

Welcome to YT. This is actually the Pre '84 folder, we have a folder specifically for 84-85 Trucks & 4Runners
