Coolant Leak
While changing my oil I was thinking to myself how happy I was that the engine I put in hasn't leaked any fluids.
Oh wait whats that wet spot, oh wait its green..... poop...
It looks like it's coming from the front of the engine, which I assume is the water pump? What are the odds of the coolant coming from the back but seeping along the edges of the of pan to the front?
Weird thing is I haven't lost any noticeable amount of coolant....

Actually, 9 times out of 10 the water pump SEAL goes out, dumping out the coolant. It usually starts with seeping that goes on for a while, them BAM~

The 22r(e) yes. Its a super simple job, but for the 3vze you gotta tear the front of the motor off.
Remove all belts and accessories, timing cover and such. Might aswell do a timing belt while you're at it...

I have a similar leak on my 95 4Runner. Coolant is appearing on the top of the timing belt cover; I figure it's leaking somewhere around the water pump and the belt is blowing out the coolant out the top of the timing belt cover seam.
It was like that most of last winter; but I have a new pump and timing belt in hand and plan to take care of it in the next week or two.

I was hoping it would be something on top, but I R&Red a bad injector a little while back and replaced all the heater and manifold hoses. No coolant on the intake manifold, only the bolt recesses of the timing cover. I've run the engine looking for the leak and didn't see anything; but after running it for awhile I'll pop the hood and there it is. Not much of a leak; gotta be a bad seal or gasket that leaks only when the engine warms up and runs at highway speeds.

GorgeRunner, I think mine is the same too. I haven't had time to look between work and college financing stuff, but I will take a more in depth look soon.
Have you noticed any coolant loss?

I had a coolant leak one time that gave me a helluva hard time; it was in a small hose & would open up like lips when I revved the engine up, but didn't show otherwise!
