22RE 89 4x4, runs great, check engine light came on. Went to shop, told me could be several things but process starts with replacing TPS. I replaced TPS yesterday and when started up she rev'd off and on repeatedly. Did I Install the TPS wrong? I noticed there is a little bit of room to move the TPS from side to side when installing. Should I have installed loosely then moved slowly finding the right spot then secure? Is this indicative of another problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. This is my original pickup I sold to my Dad back in '96 when the new 4runners came out. My father passed away last year and I couldn't let her go.

Update:

OK, I researched prior threads on this subject and see I need to adjust the TPS and find her sweet spot. Let me see if I can get the TPS in the right position maybe that'll fix her.
