Push-started...now dash lights won't work!

I have a 1993 Toyota Pickup 22RE 2wd 5-speed. My bro accidently left the lights on when we were working on a taillight testing it out, and drained the battery. Anyways, got it rolling on a hill, and it push started fine, however, the dash lights suddenly do not work at all. Headlights and everything else is good, but all the instrument panel lighting is dark, around the gauges, heater knobs, everything. The interior dome light is fine too.

I check the fuses in the box in the engine, but they seem fine. Did I blow another fuse somewhere? This is probably an easy fix...duh...I just don't know it!

Thanks for your help!

~ Justin

You probably shorted something out while doing the tail light and blew a fuse

Check the fuse box in the cab, it's on the left side about a foot off the floorboard kind of under the dash.

Oh and just for future reference.. it never hurts to disconnect the neg battery cable before messing with the electrical that way you CANT short anything out

sometimes it's hard to tell if a fuse is blown. try a new one. that way you'll feel dumb if everything comes back.

The dimmer switch was my first thought too. It would be the first thing to check.
