Toolbox for a Doublecab?

Hey everyone:

I *had* a polypropocrapolene toolbox bolted into the back that was designed to be removable with a simple flip of handles. Let's just say that the handles didn't flip and I ended up with a box that just moved around in the back.

I would like to get an over the rail toolbox but realize that looks pretty stupid with the cab being as short as it is - or at least that's what I thought until I saw a toolbox the other day that was pretty low profile and not as wide as most others.

I posted this question on SoCal TTORA and people have already suggested ammo cans. Unfortunately those are too small.

Anyone have any suggestions and, better yet, places to buy???

Dude, did you check the "Rubbermaid" cargo boxes? What you described sounds like one of their boxes. They have a pretty nice line of cargo boxes, and the prices arent bad. I had looked at one for my 96 Taco xtra cab.
Would you shoot me a PM on your double cab? Likes/dislikes, economy etc. etc. I really like those trucks, and I'm concidering one when the wifes Matrix is paid off.

I got two different types we offer here. They are the diamond plated Aluminum boxes.

Silver plated 000TB-53505 $274.50

Black 000TB-75350 $335.50

Both sit over the rail but are good quality boxes. Let me know if you are interested.

thanks for the suggestion but I think I'm done with plastics
I've seen what you're suggesting and we actually use it on a Ford Sport Trac ( ) at work.

As far as how I feel about my truck? I love it! I could go on and on about it but I wouldn't know where to start and where to end. If you'd like I'll be on AIM while at work and you can IM me:

IBRightUBWrong

I use it to keep in touch with my student employees - hence the name

Cool!
You think I could get dimensions too?
Or maybe a website that will have this and more information?

Thanks!
