Tacoma toolbox Ebay find
Hi all!
I've been looking for a long time for a toolbox solution for my doublecab. I have a lot of stuff I like to carry around and not all of it fits under and behind seats. I would just put it in the back on top of the seats but you never know when you have passengers and it's a big pain to move stuff back and forth.
Anyhow - I've been looking at slim profile toolboxes and all sorts of things like that but I think I've found my final solution for an acceptable price:
You can find it here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2447151182
If anyone knows of a better deal please let me know ASAP
EDIT:
I've checked the measurements and it fits between the wheel wells with about 3" to spare - not sure about the height though...

Ive thought of doing something similar but towards the back of the bed (only becuase of my tonneu cover) but it seems like it would get in the way. I havent came up with a solution yet. Thats seems like a lot of money for that size box. But then again I havent done any research.

Looks like all the mid-size diamond plate toolboxes (over the edge anyway) are going for around $300 plus.
Yeah, is a bit pricey. I haven't jumped on it I'm still looking around.

Pretty much everywhere I've looked I've been seeing prices similar to or greater than what I found listed at Pep Boys:

I am conernced about the ebay storage box side walls being to thin @ .055 inch. My Sears Craftsman is thicker wall and is deeper than most over the rail bed boxes. The wratching system is a great security feature.
