W56 trans Bearings????
Does anyone have a source for input and countershaft bearings for a W56? I am in Canada and would like to get them here but.......
I have tried Marlin but can never get through. Dealer wants $175 for 2 bearings. For that price I can get another used trans but I am getting sick of swapping that thing out. I have it down to 3 hours

Find out the specs and then go to a bearing shop.
You could be as cheeky as to go to the dealer, ask to see the bearings, copy down the info on the side and the specs, then say "Sorry no thanks". Call up your local bearing shop and bingo, probably half the price.

I have the numbers but they are "proprietary" automotive bearings. I have had this problem before with bearings. Automotive and industrial are like two different companies within one. Also you can't just call up NSK or Nachi and get them to send you a bearing even if you have a good number. They will only sell to the OEM.
I have tried my bearing suppliers around here and i get the same answer. OEM.
The numbers are NSK HR6307NX $55 dealer (input)
and Nachi NUK220556N C3 $89 dealer (counter shaft front)
