Can I get some clutch recommendations?

I need some clutch recommendations to replace the clutch on my 92 4Runner 3.0 V6. I have looked into a Luk clutch, but I didnt know if a marlin or hayes clutch or something similar would be better. I searched and didnt come up with much, so any help would be appreciated.

I have the "regular" Marlin - kinda wish I had got the heavier one as this one feels kinda light. Holds fine though.

I like this thread!! I need to do the clutch on my 94, and was wondering the same. My 91 has a centerforce clutch, and has held up to 1 year(that I know of) of some pretty hard beating!! I have heard the marlin crawler clutch is even better tho...

I was personally looking at the 1800 lb marlin clutch. I just dont want a really heavy pedal. But it looks like the only choice I have for my application is 1200lb or the 2100lb. What advantages/disadvantages would i have with either one?

I have heard that its a bit hard to get used to the heavier clutch, due to it gripping so well, but...it will almost certainly hold up better than the lighter one... another possible downfall to the heavier is possible flywheel warpage...

Well as far as wheeling goes, I only really wheel some mild trails . No rocks or anything so I dont know if I would really need the 2100lb clutch. But I would like to be able to pull a small trailer if need be.

i'm not sure what clutch they put in when i got it changed but my left leg was twitching after driving around town a couple days the pedal was so heavy, i'm used to it now and it does great on the trails.

I have decided to go with the marlin clutch. Next big question is 1200lb or 2100lb?

2100 would probably be a pain for "city" driving

I went with the dual stage 1200 pound clutch and then added a hurst short throw. Its like driving a super car compared to my jeep xj, grabs so hard! I went on a 12 hour trips, did some city driving in atlanta then wheeled the hell out of it then drove home, my only complaint is my right knee hurt from pushing the gas peddle. No complaints in the stiffness of the clutch because whether you run 900 pound or 2100 pound it doesnt have anything to do with the hydraulic link, it has to do with how tight the clutch holds against the pressure plate. So you do have to rev it a little higher for it to engage cause when it engages, it engages tight and fast.

Look into this Clutch.
It is the LC Pro Clutch, it has a little more than twice the stock holding power.
The pedal will be a little stiffer, but nothing like going with a 6 puck(that's like having a brake pedal for the clutch.
This clutch is good for anyone running over a 31inch tire.
We have had no problems with these clutches. All the feed back that we have got has been good, one of our employees is using it. His Runner is a daily driver, and takes it out on the trails. He has never had any problems with his, been running strong for close to 3 years now.
