new owner of a 1997 4runner limited..110,000 mls on it paid $9500...everything looks good so far..

Only issue so far is when it first gets going as I am giving it gas in drive there is a gurgling sound almost as if the engine is flooded only for a moment then it kicks in and is smooth.The truck idles fine and does not do this when in park when I give it gas to rev it up....any ideas ????any would be appreciated
I was told it may just need a tuneup..the owner took it to a toyota service shop for service and oil was changed frequently..
