Usually the whining sound in mine is coming from the passenger side... but all I have to do is slap her and she shuts up ! (J/K domestic abuse isn't funny)

im guessing this is on the 1990? and this might be obvious but if the cv is twisted/F-ed up you should prolly start with replacing that and while your in there you can inspect the bearings my .02

Huh ???

Why do your tires keep deflating ?
Maybe fix the flat(s).

Why do you think that changing tires would mess up your CV(s) ?

bearings or the spindle bushings more than likely

at worse, front differential, but that shoudn't accure if you have manual hubs that are unlocked on a daily basis...
