Steering knuckle/ CV shaft bushing? anyone deal with this before?

So i've been having a rhythmic, out of round type of vibration in the front end. I changed both complete axles cause there was mud instead of grease in the boots!! that day on the trail was worth it. I still have the same symptoms as before though and it doesn't want to coast as well with the wheels turned, you can feel the drag as the wheels turn. I've checked to make sure all the front end components are tight and not worn (bj's etc). You guys have any ideas about this? I'm kinda scratching my head at this point. Thanks a million.

Anybody have any ideas about what may be causing this without just throwing parts(and $) at it and hoping to hit the right spot?

the dash light has never worked since i got the rig in dec. but i get the noise, vibe all the time. Plus it isnt only happening when going highways speeds, it continues until I stop. I checked the 4wd and it is disengaging properly. Like i said, im really scratching my head at this point. Not only that but i should be able to run 40 or so in 4wd without worrying, i have plenty of times when its patchy ice sleet on the roads and never had an issue with vibes or noise. and i checked my tires, they are all good, it is a very mechanical symptom. Thanks tubbs, i appreciate the reply.

Is there a way to disco the front driveshaft without dropping the tranny? the rear u-joint of the front shaft looks to not be dico-able without removing the cross member. Man, this whole new breed of vehicle has a steep learning curve, but its a neccessary evil.

Well, not u-joints- no play, not getting hot, and lubed well. Just have this weird oblong vibe with mild low pitch rattle sound- I'm really losing my mind on this one. Have some travelling to do in two weeks and need to not get stranded!! I'm open to any ideas.
